Abstract:

To prevent smoke from being increased by enabling limitation of the fuel injection amount even in a case an intake air amount sensor fails.

This fuel injection control device of a diesel engine determines the basic fuel injection amount Qbase on the basis of the engine rotational speed Ne and the accelerator opening Ac, determines the first maximum fuel injection amount QMAF on the basis of the engine rotational speed Ne and the intake air amount MAF, and determines the second maximum fuel injection amount QMAP on the basis of the engine rotational speed Ne and the intake air pressure MAP. The smaller one out of the basic fuel injection amount Qbase and the first maximum fuel injection amount QMAD is taken as the target fuel injection amount Qfnl when an intake air amount sensor does not fail (9), and the smaller one out of the basic fuel injection amount Qbase and the second fuel injection amount QMAP is taken as the target fuel injection amount Qfnl when the intake air amount sensor fails.
