Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device comprising a number of injection orifices and a fuel purge device.
SOLUTION: The atomizing orifice 106 of a leg part 284 extends penetrating a fuel nozzle 59, and the atomizing wells 220 penetrating a housing 190 are arranged with the orifice. The nozzle is designed to generate full static pressure difference for purging a main nozzle fuel circuit 102 between at least two different atomizing wells of the atomizing wells. An atomizing well part 222 asymmetrically extends in the local flow direction 225 different from an atomizing well center line 224. Part of the atomizing well part locally and asymmetrically extends in the upstream direction 226, and the other part locally extends in the downstream direction 228. The local flow direction has an axial component 236 in parallel with a nozzle axial line 52 surrounded by an annular nozzle housing, and a peripheral component 234 around the nozzle housing.
