Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device having a small-sized electric drive part, capable of reducing the wear of a valve member and the valve body and dropping the minimum injection pressure.
SOLUTION: The valve member 20 has a through hole 22 penetrating in the reciprocating direction, and when seated on a valve seat part 13, the valve member 20 shuts off the fuel flowing into a jet 12a from the upstream. A rod 30 is inserted into the through hole 22, and the valve member 20 can move in reciprocations relative to the rod 30. In the condition that the valve member 20 is seated on the valve seat part 13, the shutoff part 36 of the rod 30 is abutting to the hole seat part 24. The abutting shuts off the fuel flowing into the jet 12a from the through hole 22. Because the pressure receiving area where the valve member 20 receives the fuel pressure from a high pressure fuel in a control chamber 40 is smaller in an amount corresponding to the section area of the through hole 22, the force which the valve member 20 receives from the high pressure fuel in the control chamber 40 in the direction of seating on the valve seat part 13 lessens.
