Abstract:
To provide a fuel injection section which curbs fluctuation in needle closing responses due to pulsation of a pressure in a control chamber when two control valves are simultaneously opened and then a valve closing instruction is made for one of the control valves and thereby preventing accuracy of an injection amount from being degraded.SOLUTION: When starting fuel injection, a drive control device simultaneously gives a valve opening instruction to a first control valve and a second control valve at instruction reference time (t0) and gives a valve closing instruction to the second control valve (antecedently opened valve) at valve closing instruction time (t2) after maximum injection rate achieving time (t1) when an injection rate reaches a maximum value with a needle is raised. Given that an instruction value τ2 is defined as ON time of a valve opening instruction pulse from the instruction reference time till the valve closing instruction time with respect to an antecedently closed valve, a frequency of pressure pulsation generated in a control chamber when the first and second control valves are simultaneously opened and the antecedently closed valve is closed is expressed by f, and a correction period based on delay in pressure response of the control chamber is expressed by τcomp, the instruction value τ2 of the antecedently closed valve is set in accordance with a following equation: τ2=(2n-1)/(2f)+τcomp, (where n is a natural number).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
