Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the transfer efficiency of a toner image and to make a copying speed high in the case of black-and-white copying.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of full color copying, reflected light from an original is made incident on a photosensitive body 2 through a 4th reflection mirror 8 and a 5th reflection mirror 9, and the toner image formed on the photosensitive body 2 is transferred to a paper through an intermediate transfer belt 16. In the case of black-and-white copying, the reflected light from the original is made incident on the photosensitive body 2 directly from the 4th reflection mirror 8, the photosensitive body 2 is reversely rotated, and the toner image formed on the photosensitive body 2 is transferred to the paper directly from the photosensitive body 2 by a transfer charger 19.
