Abstract:

To provide a novel fumigant for a timber instead of a methyl bromide and a method for fumigating the timber using the same.

(1) The fumigant for the timber contains a methyl iodide as an effective component. (2) The method for fumigating the timber comprises a step of introducing a vapor containing the methyl iodide as the fumigant in a space for containing the timber to be fumigated.
