To provide a futon container which can lower a shelf board for putting in or taking out a futon, can raise the shelf board then, can save the space, and is decorated with a covered fan which is attached allowing its opening and closing.

The upper end of a sideways U-shaped box body is attached to a ceiling on its four corners. Groups of gears are formed in the box body. A protruding section is formed on the top of a gear. It is connected with a hook attached on the corner of a protruding sphere inside the opening of the box body and the shelf board. Four groups of gears are rotated (or reversely rotated) electrically by a remote control and the shelf board is moved vertically, stopped at a given point and fixed. Because there is a space over the shelf board and the shelf board can be raised after many thick futons or containers that are not frequently taken out are placed, the upper shelf board does not need to be raised or lowered often. Moreover, futons and other things contained on the shelf board can be stored cleanly. The room can be decorated with covered fans.
