Abstract:

To provide a gaming machine capable of making the tendency of a character during a competition race game be visually recognized in a form preferred by a player, and to provide its control method.

An operation pattern including the data of the position coordinates of a world coordinate system at the respective points of time from the start to end of the race of respective racehorses is determined (step S11), the three-dimensional image of the racehorse of a betting object viewed from the viewpoint specified by the player by the operation of viewpoint specifying switches 23c-23e (step S15) is generated from the determined data of the position coordinates of the world coordinate system and is written to a frame memory (step S16), and the three-dimensional image is displayed in real time on an individual display by frame data for one image read from the frame memory. The three-dimensional image of the racehorse of the betting object can be alternately switched with a race image in which the respective racehorses run on a course generated from the determined data of the position coordinates of the world coordinate system and displayed on the individual display.
