Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of cracks in a gasket to be inserted with a current collector bar and split of an unstable explosion-proof safety valve, then to improve liquid-leakage-resistance performance of the cylindrical alkaline battery.
SOLUTION: An aperture of a battery case of the cylindrical alkaline battery is sealed by a gasket 1 formed by filling a molten resin into a molding tool 19 composed of an upper tool 19a in provided with an injection gate 25 in a cylindrical space part 20 of the molding tool 19 and a protruding part with the cylindrical space part 20 side chamfered or curved is formed in a portion where a thin film space part is formed, and a lower tool 19b provided with at least one of an eject sleeve 27 or eject pins 28. In the gasket 1, a boundary part of a thin film part 5 with a hob part 3 is formed into a chamfered shape or a curved surface, and a boundary part of the thin film part 5 with a diaphragm part 4 is formed into an approximately vertical edged shape.
