Title:
GEAR SHIFT AND STEERING MECHANISM FOR CATERPILLARED VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59187140
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow a smooth gear shifting and steering with a compact overall structure by connecting right and left hand side oil pumps with tubing to change the ratio of input and output rotational speed from a negative to a positive value in a nonstepped manner so that there may be a difference in the ratio of input and output rotational speed of the right and left hand side hydraulic pump motors. CONSTITUTION:The output shaft of a left hand side hydraulic motor 71b is attached with a gear 6 that engages a gear 7 of a shaft 45. The output shaft of a right hand side hydraulic motor 72b is attached with a gear 10 that engages gear 11 and a gear 8 that engages a gear 9, and the gear 11 engages a gear 12. The right and left hand side hydraulic pump motors 71a, 71b, 72a, 72b are connected with tubing 81, 82 so that the ratio of input and output rotational speed can be changed from a negative to a positive value in a nonstepped manner. Further, by creating a difference in the ratio of input and output rotational speed of the right and left side hydraulic pump motors 71a, 72b, 72a, 72b, a difference in the rotational speed of output shafts 61, 62 is generated and so the vehicle can be steered.
