Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Geiger-Muller counter having a structure capable of easily forming a cathode by tungsten.SOLUTION: A Geiger-Muller counter 10 includes a vessel 11, a cathode 13 and an anode 15. The cathode is constituted of a cylindrical object obtained by spirally winding a band-like tungsten plate, and the anode is provided in a position equivalent to the central axis of the cylindrical cathode. A cathode lead 13a is connected to the cathode, and an anode lead 15a is provided in the anode. The cathode and the anode are hermetically sealed in the vessel in the state that each one end of the cathode lead and the anode lead is drawn outside, and inert gas and quenching gas are enclosed in the vessel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
