Abstract:
To provide a glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium which does not easily cause deflection or fluttering during high-speed rotation and matches thermal expansion coefficient of a spindle material (for example, stainless steel or the like).SOLUTION: In a glass substrate for a magnetic recording medium of the present invention, an average linear thermal expansion coefficient in the temperature range of 30 to 380°C is 30×10/°C or more, and Young's modulus is 80 GPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
