Abstract:
To provide a golf ball which is used for a purpose other than competing a predominance in a carry in an excessive manner, by using the same ball by a golf player whose head speed HS is fast and a general golf player.SOLUTION: There is provided a golf ball comprising a core, a cover, and many dimples on a surface of the cover. The cover is mainly formed of a polyurethane. In a hitting test (head speed 40 m/s) using the driver with a volume occupancy ratio VR of the dimples being 0.80-0.92% and a ball diameter being 42.8 mm or greater, the total sum (t1+t2) of a time (t1) since the start of contact between the driver and the golf ball until a deformation amount of the golf ball becomes greatest, and a time (t2) since the deformation amount of the golf ball becomes greatest until the driver and the golf ball are separated is 660 μsec or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
