Abstract:
To enable a grain dryer to use renewable energy for drying grain.SOLUTION: There is provided a grain drying facility comprising a grain dryer 1 and a heat supply device 2. The grain dryer 1 includes a drying chamber 4 for grain 3 to travel therethrough, a gas passage 7 for hot air 5 to flow therethrough toward the drying chamber 4, a fossil fuel burner 8 disposed in the gas passage 7, and an air inlet port 11 disposed on the upstream end side of the gas passage 7. The heat supply device 2 includes a heat exchanger 13 disposed upstream relative to the air inlet port 11 of the grain dryer 1, a biomass fuel burner 14 that burns husk powder fuel 15, a hot water boiler 16, a hot water storage tank 17, and a hot water supply line 18, a hot water return line 19 and a pump 20 for circulating and supplying hot water 21 to the heat exchanger 13 from the hot water storage tank 17. A controller 22 supplies the hot water 21 to the heat exchanger 13 according to the flow rate and the temperature of the hot air 5 to be supplied to the drying chamber 4 to let the temperature of air 12 rise and subsequently to let the gas passage 7 introduce the heated air from the air inlet port 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
