To uniformize the germination and growth on a vegetation mat by a method wherein a cultivating base which is divided into a plurality of sections by partitioning materials and sewing threads and fixed onto a mat of a predetermined size so as to prevent seeds and fertilizers such as soil conditioners from moving and flowing out.
Cylindrical partition materials 2 made of cotton non-woven fabrics are disposed so as to be space apart, one from another, by a distance 20 cm on a raschel-woven polyethylene fiber lower side sheet 1. And a cultivating base 3 prepared by mixing organic fertilizers, soil conditioners, chemical fertilizers, water-retaining materials, and seeds at a predetermined ratio is provided so as to bury the materials 2, and the top and bottom surfaces of the base 3 are covered with a top and bottom sheets 5, 1 of polyethylene having coarse mesh respectively, which are formed into a single body using sewing threads 6 to make a greening mat. When the greening mat is laid at a 1:0.8 slope, vegetation grows from the top surface of the sheet in two weeks and even if it rains, additional soil is prevented from flowing out and the growth of vegetation can be achieved uniformly over the entire surface of the mat.
