Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title device which is provided with bearing means for bearing a feeding cylinder and selectively bearing the feeding cylinder at each one of plural positions in an under-gripper frame and is usable without trouble regardless of the presence or absence of auxiliary grippers.
CONSTITUTION: The gripper device for a combing machine is provided with the under-gripper frame 6. The feeding cylinder 11 is born in this under-gripper frame 6 and is provided with upper grippers 8 and 9 arranged swivelably in association with the under-gripper frame 6. The under-gripper frame 6 has the bearing means 28 for selectively bearing the feeding cylinder 11 at each one of the two positions. The two bearing means 28 are interconnected by a strip 32 and a tank-like feeding plate 12 cooperating with the feeding cylinder 11 is fixed to this strip 32. Fibers are combed selectively even in the state having the auxiliary grippers or in the state having no auxiliary grippers without trouble by using such gripper device.
