Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a groove in an inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical body in an optimum manner so that a smoothly rolling condition of a work roller can be permanently realized.
SOLUTION: A grooving device comprises a guide member 1 which is inserted and placed in a cylindrical body C and provided with a flat guide surface 1c along the axial direction of the cylindrical body C, a slide member 5 which is placed on the guide surface 1c of the guide member 1 and movable in the axial direction of the cylindrical body C by the external force action, a holder member 6 which is held in an oscillating or floating manner by the slide member 5 in a relatively displaceable manner in the radial direction of the cylindrical body C, a work roller 2 which is turnably and pivotably supported by the holder member 6 through a rotary shaft 3, and an operation lever 7 in which a base end operation part is extended outward of the cylindrical body C and a tip part 7a (7b) is connected to the holder member 6, and the holder member 6 is oscillated or floated by the tip part 7a (7b) of the operation lever 7 through the turning operation or the advancement/retraction of the operation lever 7 to relatively displace the work roller 2 in the radial direction of the cylindrical body C.
