PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground diagnostic method for an underground structure capable of objectively evaluating the state of the ground around an underground structure.SOLUTION: The present invention is a ground diagnostic method for diagnosing the properties of a ground surrounding an underground structure, and comprises a drilling step of drilling a ground surrounding the underground structure with a drilling machine for drilling holes, a measuring step of measuring data obtained at the time of drilling, and a determining step of determining, by comparing the predetermined criteria, the position from the underground structure, the properties of the ground and the data, whether the soil layer of the drilled ground corresponds to one of a cavity present in the ground around the underground structure, a first soil layer consisting of colluvial soil which is located under the cavity and collapsed soil of the natural ground, a second soil layer having soft properties due to looseness in the natural ground surrounding the cavity, and a third soil layer consisting of the natural ground located in the upper layer of the second soil layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
