Title:
GUIDE DEVICE FOR VISUALLY HANDICAPPED PERSON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06254114
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a guide device for a visually handicapped person, which is so safe that a signal sent from a signal converting means is generated with constant sound volume and vibration frequency until the power supply is consumed by a constant voltage circuit not to transmit a guide mark in error to the visually handicapped person.

CONSTITUTION: A guide device for a visually handicapped person is so constructed that plural magnets are arranged on guide needed spots of a walking surface in such a manner that the magnetic poles thereof are made different and combined, and a stick which a visually handicapped person has is provided with a magnetic pole discriminating circuit 7 for discriminating whether the magnetic pole of the magnet is N-pole or S-pole and outputting a signal and a signal converting means 8 for converting a signal output from the magnetic pole discriminating circuit 7 to information which can be sensed by the visually handicapped person. Further, the guide device for a visually handicapped person comprises a constant voltage circuit 6 for keeping voltage applied to the signal converting means 8 constant.
