To provide a guide light made easier to recognize the boundary between a wall face and a floor face of a passage, even for a person with low-vision, such as a weak-sighted or an aged person having sensitivity to light that is lower than a healthy person.
The guide light 1 is installed in the vicinity of a boundary of a wall face W and a floor face F of a passage. The guide light 1 is provided with a light source 2, and a box-like body 3 that houses the light source 2. The body 3 has an opening formed on a front face to be an irradiating window for extracting the light from the light source 2, covered with a milky-white cover 4 with light transparency. The light source 2 consists of a plurality of LEDs provided inside the body 3, with the plurality of LEDs being arrayed, in a row at equal intervals so as to constitute a line along the boundary of the wall face W and the floor face F as a whole. The body 3 is arranged so that the cover 4, shining in a linear shape along the boundary of the wall face W, and the floor face F at lighting of the light source 2 is seen directly by a person H on the passage.
