Abstract:
To provide a wheelchair handrail that allows a person sitting on a wheelchair to remain in a stable and comfortable position.
This handrail 4 is vertically turnably mounted on a handrail shaft 3 mounted crosswise in an appropriate position of the backrest 2 of a wheelchair 1. The handrail 4 is secured to the handrail shaft 3, the backrest 2 is provided with a lock 14 that locks or permits turn of the handrail shaft 3, and the handrail 4 is shifted to an appropriate position by locking or unlocking the lock 14.
