Abstract:
To provide a hard coat layer-forming composition capable of providing an optical film having a hard coat layer which is excellent in film hardness and excellent in adhesion to transparent base materials while film curling is suppressed.
The hard coat layer-forming composition includes: (a) a polyethylene oxide compound having one or more photopolymerizable groups and a structure of -(CH2CH2O)n- (wherein n is an integer of 1-50); (b) dimethyl carbonate and/or ethylmethyl carbonate; (c) a compound having an unsaturated double bond; (d) a photopolymerization initiator; and having the proportion of the content of the (b) ranging 5-80 mass% with respect to the total amount of solvent in the hard coat layer-forming composition.
