Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the size reduction of a guiding figure even when the distance to an action point becomes larger by enlarging the figure more than an actual bird's-eye-view as the distance between a predetermined passing point and an own vehicle present position increases.
SOLUTION: An arrow (A), which indicates a straight go on the road of a passing point, is converted into a bird's-eye-view (B) which indicates the view from the driver's view point at the vehicle's present position and superimposed to the view of the road at the passing point and head-up displayed. When the distance between the present position and the passing point is large, the arrow (A) is temporarily enlarged to (A') in accordance with the magnification set by the distance, converted into a bird's-eye-view, further converted into a bird's-eye-view (C) and head-up displayed. A perspective view is provided by the size of the guiding figure and the passing point is plainly shown by the display position of the guiding figure. Thus, the use convenience of the system is improved.
