Title:
HEADER TANK STRUCTURE FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009047401
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a header tank structure for a heat exchanger capable of securely performing the temporary fixing of a tank to a plate regardless of a mounting position of a connector.

Caulking projections 34 are projected at open side ends 31c of the tank 31, and insertion holes 35 to which the caulking projections 34 are inserted are formed at the plate 32. While the caulking projections 34 are inserted to the insertion holes 35, external fitting parts 32b of the plate 32 are externally fitted to the outside of the open side ends 31c of the tank 31 so as to assemble the tank 31 to the plate 32. With the caulking projections 34 inserted to the insertion holes 35, tips of the caulking projections 34 are caulked to temporarily fix the tank 31 to the plate 32. Thus, the caulking projections 34 can be prevented from projecting to the outside of the tank 31.
