Abstract:
To provide an earpiece with unique diaphragm features for a hearing device, such as an earbud, headset, or hearing aid.SOLUTION: An earpiece 10 includes: a first end 12; a second end 14 opposite from the first end; a first channel 18 extending from a first location that is closer to the first end than to the second end, to a second location that is closer to the second end than to the first end; and a first diaphragm 100, where the first diaphragm has a first surface 102 and a second surface 104 opposite the first surface, the first surface of the first diaphragm configured to be in fluid communication with a lumen 120 in the first channel, where the first diaphragm extends in a direction that is parallel to, or that forms an acute angle with, a longitudinal axis 130 of the first channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
