To provide a heat-resistant/quietly driven lithium grease composition having excellent noise-decreasing properties, friendly to environment.
The grease composition comprises 5 to 20 mass% of thickening agent and 95 to 80 mass% of base oil. As a thickening agent, is used a lithium soap with a long-chain higher fatty acid of 10 to 20 carbon atoms and another lithium soap of a higher fatty acid of 10 to 20 C and/or a higher hydroxy fatty acid bearing one or more hydroxyl groups and 10 or more C. Further, as a base oil, are mainly included a polymer ester oil that is prepared by arranging eight or more ester groups in a comb shape on one side of the oil-chain molecules constituted with eight or more carbon atoms represented by the formula (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each an alkyl, x is an integer of ≥2 and y is an integer of ≥2) and the viscosity of the base oil is 30 to 100 mm2/s at 40°C.
