Abstract:

To improve the efficiency of a heat exchanger.

In the heat exchanger 15 effecting heat exchange between exhaust gas discharged out of a reducing furnace 19 and combustion air supplied into the reducing furnace 19, an exhaust gas discharging passage 33 is connected to heat storage furnaces 31, 32 through two sets of exhaust gas introducing passages 35, 36 switchably by a switching valve 34, while the ventilating passage 41 of a ventilation fan 30 is connected to the heat storage furnaces 31, 32 through two sets of combustion air introducing passages 43, 44 switchably by another switching valve 42 to supply the exhaust gas and air alternately into respective heat storage furnaces 31, 32 and effect heat exchange between both of them.
