Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a heat exchanger having a system mass which is reduced as much as possible and validity which is increased as much as possible.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger for a spacecraft is formed in the form of a droplet radiator. A droplet collector 1 has the shape of a rotation symmetrical ring body hat is rotatable about the rotational axis of symmetry of the collector 1. Preferably, the ring body has the shape of a wheel. A droplet generator 4 is arranged within the extend of the rotational axis of symmetry. The return flow of a coolant takes place either through the spokes of the wheel which hold the collector 1 or through a separate suction conduit. A secondary coolant flow circuit can be additionally integrated into the droplet collector 1.
