Abstract:

To actualize control of refrigerant amount distribution in a refrigerating cycle used in a heat pump water heater without using a vessel such as an accumulator having a capacity for storing refrigerant and increasing heat exchangers for heat exchanging with heated fluid of poor heat transfer.

The heat pump water heater comprises the refrigerating cycle in which a compressor 3 for compressing the refrigerant to supercritical pressure, a single radiator 4 for heat exchange between the refrigerant discharged from the compressor and a load side medium, an expansion valve 5 for reducing the pressure of the refrigerant, and an evaporator 8 are annularly connected to one another and in which the refrigerant is circulated, a hot water supply circuit having a tank 11 for storing the load side medium heated by the refrigerant distributed in the single radiator 4, and a high pressure control means for controlling high pressure side refrigerant pressure to be preset pressure.
