Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the filter having an excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, hardly causing a falling of a constituent fiber and also excellent in pressure resistance and filtering precision by heat-treating and forming a non-woven fiber aggregate consisting of a heat resistant fiber, a heat weldable resin and/or a heat weldable fiber.
SOLUTION: A stretched polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) fiber is most suitable as the heat resistant fiber from a viewpoint of strength, chemical resistance, heat resistance and cost and mass-productivity. In a shape, a staple fiber is preferable in view of a workability to a web. The fiber, etc., consisting of the PPS resin in non-stretched or semi-stretched state, a polyester based resin, and a polyamid resin are exemplified as the heat weldable resin and/or the heat weldable fiber. Then the heat resistant web or non-woven fabric and the heat weldable resin and/or the heat weldable fiber are allowed to coexist. The heat resistant fiber is heat-bonded by heat-bonding or heat-bonding under pressure the inclusion. In this way, the filter excellent in heat resistance and chemical resistance, etc., is obtained without the falling of a filter material.
