Title:
HEAT SENSITIVE FUSE ADAPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3866987
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive fuse adaptor which can cut off gas in piping surrounding a gas meter in case a fire breaks out and is mounted even on the existing piping.
SOLUTION: A valve seat 22 is formed in a gas passage 21 within a joint pipe 20 and a cutoff valve 23 adapted to advance by a force of a spring 29 closely contacting the valve seat 22 is incorporated into the passage 21 within the joint pipe 20. A control member 30 made of solder is provided to block the advancing of the cutoff valve 23, once being retracted against the spring 29 and is melted by the heat of the fire, so that the blocking of the cutoff valve 23 is released to promptly cutoff the outflow of the gas.
