Abstract:
To reduce internal stress of a heat shield layer while forming the stable heat shield layer by sufficiently hardening a material coat.SOLUTION: A heat shield layer formation method for an engine includes: an application process of applying a material coat including silicone-based resin to a heat shield target surface; and a burning process of forming a heat shield layer by heating and hardening the material coat applied. In the burning process, a heating temperature relative to the material coat is increased/decreased periodically, and a change rate (Rb) when the heating temperature is lowered is set smaller than a change rate (Ra) when the heating temperature is raised.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
