To provide a heat treatment apparatus using superheated steam, capable of holding the temperature in a tunnel at a high temperature by using few steam ejecting nozzles, generating condensed water of steam at the gate parts of a conveyor belt and of the tunnel, and preventing generation of stagnation and vortex flow in the discharge gas flow of the superheated steam in the tunnel.
A suction duct is connected near the both end gates of a tunnel path of a cylindrical case forming the tunnel path in which a conveyor can run, the steam in the tunnel path is sucked with air by using the suction duct, and a heat insulating space is formed on the upper part of the tunnel path with the suction duct and the cylindrical case and a steam ejecting nozzle, which ejects downward the superheated steam from the upper wall center of the tunnel path into the tunnel path, is formed in the heat insulating space.
