Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a herbicidal composition that contains dimethenamide and other herbicides, reveals synergistic effect, and continuously control the growth of undesired plants for a long period of time.
CONSTITUTION: This herbicidal composition contains (A) 2-chloro-N-2,4- dimethyl-3-thienyl)-N-(2-methoxy-1-methylehtyl)-acetamide (dimethenamide) and (B) at least one of other herbicides in an amount enough to attain the synergistic herbicidal effect. As a B-component herbicide, are cited auxin transportation inhibitor, growth suppressant herbicide, photosynthesis inhibitor, pigment inhibitor, growth inhibitor, amino acid synthesis inhibitor, lipid biosynthesis inhibitor, cell wall-biosynthesis inhibitor, prompt cell membrane breaker, carbonates, nitriles, hydantosidines, triketones and diones, particularly sulfonylurea as clorimron, triketones or diones as 2-(2-chloro-4-methanesulfonylbenzoyl)-1,3- cyclohexanedione.
