To prevent an insulation from being deteriorated due to the adhesion of carbide and abrasive powder to the terminal pins and glass insulators of sealed terminal parts installed in a hermetic compressor for refrigerant used for refrigeration and air conditioning.
This hermetic compressor for refrigerant comprises a hermetic vessel 4 having a compression mechanism part 1 and a motor part 2. The hermetic vessel comprises the sealed terminals 6 for supplying electric power. The sealed terminal is so formed that a terminal pin 6b is inserted into a cup-like body 6a. The inside of the cup-like body 6a, the sealed terminal 6, and the tab terminal connection part 2d of a motor lead 2c are covered by a resin filler 10 with electrical insulation.
