To provide a microwave filter having a high degree of design flexibility for conductor wiring and a substrate for a microwave module provided with the microwave filter.
This microwave filter 100 comprises dielectric layers 7, 8, 9 and 10, metal wiring layers 27, 28, 29 and 30 formed on the respective upper surfaces of the respective dielectric layers and plugs 71, 72, 73, 74, 75 and 76. On the metal wiring layer 29, wirings 51, 52 and 53 that function as a step impedance resonator are formed. The wirings 51, 52 and 53 are connected to the plugs 71, 72 and 73, respectively, connected to the metal wiring layers 27 and 30 being ground wirings. The wirings 51 and 53 are provided with terminals S1 and S2 respectively and connected to the plugs 74 and 75 respectively by at terminals S1 and S2. On the metal wiring layer 28, wirings 61, 62 and 63 which are arranged oppositely to the wirings 51, 52 and 53 and capacitively coupled to the wirings 51, 52 and 53, and a wiring 64 for connecting the wirings 61, 62 and 63 to one another are formed.
