Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the loss in an element which controls ON/OFF of an electromagnetic wave and also to eliminate complication in a circuit constitution.
SOLUTION: The electrodes 2 and 3 having electrode non-forming parts 5 which are opposite to each other are formed on both sides of a dielectric plate 1, and the parts 5 function as the dielectric resonators. Then a slit 4 is formed at each part 5 and a switch element 7 is mounted over the slit 4, and the transmission lines 6 are connected to the dielectric resonators. In such a structure, the resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator is switched when the element 7 is turned on and off. When the dielectric resonator resonates with the frequency of the the signal transmitted via the line 6, the electromagnetic field energy is radiated to the outside via a slot 9.
