Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength ultra fine steel wire excellent in stranded-wire disconnection resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a high strength ultra fine steel wire 10 having wire diameter of 0.18 to 0.45 mm and tensile strength of 3000 MPa or more, in which a base material 1 contains, by mass%, C:0.60% to 0.80%, Si:0.05 to 0.35%, Mn:0.25 to 0.90% and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and has a metallic structure with 85.0% or more by area percentage of pearlite, curvature radius of curvature of a pearlite colony grain boundary present in an area by 20 μm in a depth direction form a base material surface 1a on a cross section vertical to a wire drawing direction of 5.0 to 10.0 μm, width of a pearlite colony of 0.2 to 1.5 μm and a plating layer 2 has a marble-like pattern where a Zn plating phase and a Cu plating phase are co-exist formed on the cross section vertical to the wire drawing direction and area ratio of the Cu plating phase and the Zn plating phase on the cross section vertical to the wire drawing direction of 1.0 to 2.3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
