To obtain the subject composition with a low viscosity even in case of being formulated with the active ingredient in high concentrations, excellent in scouring performance under highly alkaline conditions, and useful for unscoured gray fabrics comprising cotton and/or synthetic fibers, comprising an alkyl ether phosphoric ester-based surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and water.
This scouring agent composition comprises (A) an alkyl ether phosphoric ester-based surfactant, (B) a nonionic surfactant, and (C) 5-20wt.% of water, having a viscosity of about 50-150cP at normal temperatures and viscosity at 30°C of pref. ≤400cP. This composition is applied at 0.01-1wt.% in the active ingredient concentration according to the stain level of cloth(s) in such processes as desizing, scouring, bleaching and mercerization.
