Title:
HOT-ROLLED STEEL STRIP COOLING CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3881617
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot-rolled steel strip cooling control method which is excellent in steel strip temperature controllability and can enhance the manufacturing yield of steel strips by making the coiling temperature of the steel strip uniform.
SOLUTION: In this hot-rolled steel strip cooling control method in which a steel strip from a hot finish rolling mill is cooled in a cooling step combining laminar cooling (preferably, combination of slit laminar cooling with pipe laminar cooling) with spray cooling, the number of cooling nozzles used in the laminar cooling is adjusted so that the temperature of the steel strip after the laminar cooling in a first stage of the cooling step is the temperature of the steel strip coiling temperature in addition to the cooling capacity of the spray cooling in a second stage of the cooling step.
