Abstract:
To provide a measurement object edge position detection device in which, even if an edge of a measurement object is completely covered by steam, an edge position of the self-luminous measurement object having a predetermined heat capacity can be detected properly and quickly, and provide a hot rolled steel strip meandering rate measuring apparatus and a hot rolled steel strip meandering rate measuring method.SOLUTION: A measurement object edge position detection device 3 detects an edge position of a self-luminous measurement object 10 having a predetermined heat capacity. The edge position detection device 3 includes an infrared camera 4 for imaging the strength distribution of infrared emitted from a surface of the measurement object 10, and an edge position detection unit 5 for detecting the edge position of the measurement object 10 from the strength distribution of the infrared imaged with the infrared camera 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
