Abstract:
Objects are to provide efficient methods for producing hydrogen or heavy hydrogens and for hydrogenating (protiating, deuterating or tritiating) an organic compound, and to provide an equipment and the like used therefor. A method for producing hydrogen or heavy hydrogens, containing subjecting water or heavy water to mechanochemical reaction in the presence of a catalyst metal, in which an energy density of a rotational acceleration of 75 G or more is applied to water or heavy water for 25 minutes or more, a method for producing a hydrogenated (protiated, deuterated or tritiated) organic compound, a method for hydrogenating (protiating, deuterating or tritiating) an organic compound, a method for dehalogenating an organic compound having halogen, and a ball for mechanochemical reaction are provied.
