Abstract:
To provide a process for the hydrogenation of a nitrile copolymer rubber, in which the hydrogenation of the nitrile copolymer rubber is promoted by using a metal complex catalyst in the presence of reduced amount of a cocatalyst.
The process of the hydrogenation of a nitrile copolymer rubber comprises the hydrogenation of the nitrile copolymer rubber in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, a cocatalyst, and a proton acceptor not bonding coordinately to the metal complex catalyst.
