To provide a polyolefinic hydrophilic film having excellent hydrophilicity and chemical resistance.

A polyolefin containing 0.1-5.0 wt.% hydrophilization agent of a composition as given below constitutes at least 40 wt.% of the film surface. The hydrophilization agent has a composition of (a) 50-95 wt.% metallic sulfonate compound represented by the formula; R-SO3M (wherein R is a 5-25C on the average alkyl group, an aryl group or an alkylaryl group; and M represents an alkali metal) and (b) 5-50 wt.% hydrophilization aid represented by the formula; R' -X-CH2CH2-Y (wherein R' is a 5-25C on the average alkyl group; X represents CONH, N(CH2CH2OH) or a direct bond; and Y represents OH or CONH-R').
