Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automate the setting of backup pins for positioning an article.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic positioning device for an article is provided with plural backup pins 4 for regulating the position of a handled article, plural backup supporting arms 3 capable of rotating these backup pins 4 by one revolution in the horizontal direction, an elevating cylinder for rotating each arm 3 and moving it linearly, and plural rails 2 for guiding the linear movement of the backup supporting arms 3 so as to cope with the positioning of the article of the optional size.
