Abstract:
PURPOSE:To accurately detect a defect of wire glass by removing dense signals continued in a longitudinal, lateral, oblique directions in a predetermined range in a width of a halftone or more at an equal interval from a center of its lateral direction, and obtaining magnitudes of the remaining dense signals. CONSTITUTION:An image signal of a two-dimensional camera is input to an image processor to decide a defect. That is, pixels G (1, 1)-G (m, m) are formed from upper left to a lower right of an image, and the image is further partitioned to blocks B (1, 1)-B (n, n) of 8X8 pixels. Presence or not of the dense signals of the blocks and the pixels are examined, When the signal is present, whether the pixel adjacent to the pixel is the dense signal or not is examined. When the dense signals are continued from an end of a screen to the other end, it is regarded as being a halftone, central pixels are connected by a straight line and a shaded part (a width of the halftone or more) including the dense signals (halftone) part from the line at an equal interval is masked. Then, since the dense signal of a defect in the B (3, 2), for example, remains, its size is obtained to decide a defect.
