Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymeric, optically oriented and crosslinked film material excellent in processibility and good in thermal stability. SOLUTION: As a novel optically oriented and crosslinked film material, is provided a maleimide-norbornene-based copolymer comprising a structural unit (A) represented by formula I, a structural unit (B) represented by formula II and a structural unit (C) represented by formula III (wherein R is substituent selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom and cyano, nitro, methyoxy and dimethylamino groups) and having a number-average mol.wt. of 2,000-15,000.
