Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a fused protein improved in immunogenicity and being an antigen suitable to virus infection preventing vaccine, etc., by culturing a transformer having a recombinant DNA coding a fused protein of antigen for vaccine and lymphokine. CONSTITUTION:A transformer retaining a recombinant DNA containing a base sequence coding a fused protein of antigen for vaccine and lymphokine is prepared by a well-known method. Then the transformer is cultured and the fused protein of antigen for vaccine and lymphokine is produced and accumulated and then collected. For example, herpes simplex virus I type surface antigen gpI, gag antigen of human immunodeficiency virus, etc., is used as the antigen for vaccine. For example, interleukin-1, interferon-gamma, etc., is used as the lymphokine.
