To provide an optical disk identification information recording device recording identification information with variations in reflectance reduced in a section having a high reflectance when recording identification information on an optical disk.
High-output and Low-output periods are repeated alternately from a laser light source 21 for recording in the identification information recording device 1, and laser beams for recording having output characteristics varying output in the high-output period based on a prescribed setting value are applied to an optical disk. Therefore, the variation in the reflectance at the section having a high reflectance in identification information becomes smaller than a case when applying laser beams having pulse-shaped output characteristics to an optical disk. An evaluation device 2 reproduces recorded identification information, evaluates a reproduction signal based on a prescribed evaluation value, and determines an optimum setting value.
