To solve the following problem: when an image blur compensation apparatus is mounted on a lens barrel and the moving position of a moving frame is set through the use of a chart, large-scale equipment is required to set the reference position, then, the cost is drastically increased.
A limiting projection part 32 is disposed on a support frame 4, and a limited part 16 is disposed on the moving frame 3, and the limiting projection part 32 and the limited part 16 are brought in contact with each other on a line aligned with the center F1 of a thrust generated by a first motor-driven actuator 6 and a line aligned with the center F2 of a thrust generated by a second motor-driven actuator 7 so as to limit the movement of the moving frame 3 in the first direction X and the second direction Y. The reference position of the moving frame 3 is set based on the outputs of first and second Hall elements 8A and 8B in the movement-limited position.
